Rab Achah bar Rav Huna taught that the weeks are counted in the presence of Rabba [(see there) and Rav Shmuel, the son of Rav B"H, and Rav Yitzchak bar Rabbi Yehuda taught that the weeks are counted in the presence of Rabba. Rav Kahana encountered them, etc. He said to them, "Rava, son of Itai, counts the weeks" (Likkutei Shas, 36b, and 37a). And Rav Safra and Rav Huna bar Chinnana and Abaye in Bava Batra (Kest. 67b) and Shabbat (124a)].
Rav Sheshet asked [in Bava Batra (see R'A) that Rav Sheshet would blow with his hand, Sanhedrin (43a)]. Rav Sheshet said [Berakhot (23a, 32a), Eruvin (20b)]. And he sent before Rav Yosef [Kiddushin (12b)]. And he said to Rav Nachman [Chulin (76b), concerning whom Rava said that he is a great man, Nedarim (90a)].
Rav Chisda said that he is a great man [and Rav Chisda sent through him to Rava, Pesachim (47a), Yevamot (29b)]. He challenged Rava from Menachot (16a). He asked him about Kiddushin (6b). He posed a contradiction to Rava from Shabbat (190a).
Rava sent him and Rav Safra to offer the sacrifice that was sent by Iphra Hormiz, the mother of Shbur Malka, in Zevachim (116b). In Rosh Hashanah (30b), Rab Achah bar Huna should be written as bar Rav. Rava, his son.
