רב אחדבוי בר אמי

Entry 363 • Seder Tannaim v'Amoraim

One Rabbi, Abai bar Ami [Baba Kamma (39a), Me'ilah (13a), Baba Metzia (91a) said Rabbi Yosef Shabbat (43b), Niddah (37b) said Rabbi Sheshet and in Zevachim (97a) Ahavaya is a mistake]. Rabbi Sheshet asked from Rabbi and he, and Ulla, were discussing the matter of his mother [(as mentioned there)]. His mother was the wet nurse of Rabbi Sheshet [(and she became mute)] and he forgot his studies and requested Rabbi Sheshet to pray for him, and he was answered [(Baba Batra 9b).

And Rabbi Sheshet asked the cave itself what it was, and he said to him, "You have been punished," Sanhedrin (55a) and see the Aruch, Rabbi Chisda asked in Pesachim (75a). Rabbi asked in Chullin (113b) that it seems to me that it is a mistake and it should say "Rabbi Abba" or "Rabba," and this caused the error of the She'erit Yosef who wrote that Rabbi asked and counted him among the students of Rabbi, for Rabbi Sheshet was a student of Rabbi Huna and Rabbi Huna was a student of Rabbi.

His mother performed a healing for a certain man, Shabbat (109b)].
