Entry 327 • Seder Tannaim v'Amoraim

Rab Achah from Beit Chozai brought Huna bar Isi from Beit Chozai in the chapter of the depositor. [(And also in the old manuscripts in the Gate of Many, it is understood thus). Behold, my brother, he saw and indeed saw that he erred, for it is stated in the chapter of the depositor (39b) and in Ketubot (27b) that Mari bar Isak came to him, a certain man from Beit Chozai, and said that he was his brother and would share with him in the inheritance of their father.

And he understood that this was the sage Rav Achah from Chozai. But he forgot that in the first chapter of Gittin (7a), regarding Tziklag and M'demna and Sensana, Rav Achah from Beit Chozai said that anyone who has a cry of distress against his friend and is silent, the one who dwells in the thornbush does justice for him, and it appears there that it was during the time of Rav Ashi.]
