Rab Acha of Difta said to Ravina before Rava, in the first chapter of Yevamot [(8a)], and he did not succeed in bringing him a head of the yeshiva, and at that time the head of the yeshiva was Tavyumi. In the first chapter of Bava Batra [(12b)], therefore, Rab Acha said in the chapter of the numerous [(chapter 2)] that all those who are harsh to him [(in this world)] are not kind to him, etc. And it is not so, but rather because of his co-wife he would say this.
And at the beginning of chapter three, they ate [(35b)] Yehuda bar Merimar and Mar bar Rav Ashi and Rab Acha of Difta were equal in wisdom. [And Rab Acha bar Tahlifa. And Rab Acha bar Ika, said to Ravina, there is a question for Rava regarding a Nazirite (2a)].
