Year 5375: There was in Gross-Frankfurt in Neurem, and on the new moon of Shevat 5376 a revival was made by the enemies. They established the eve of the new moon as a public fast, and one wealthy man named David Openheim gave large donations from his pocket to repair the synagogue and the cemetery which the enemies had damaged. On Shabbat Shuvah 5380, they entered the synagogue to pray. [See Sefer Ma'aseh Nissim, section 39, siman 9].
