In the year 5291, Don Juan, King of Portugal, investigated the Anusim with burning of bodies and confiscation of property, and over the course of fifty years, more than thirty thousand fled and scattered throughout the world. In that year there was a great earthquake and fire in the great city of Lisbon in the land of Portugal, and all the great towers and tall buildings fell along with 1,500 houses, and many died in the earthquake.
