**Chizkiyahu** (Hezekiah) son of Achaz became king over Yehudah in the 2nd year of Hoshea son of Elah [(to his rebellion)] in year 3198. He was 25 years old, having been born in year 3175, and he reigned 29 years [(Tzeda)]. Neriah was the High Priest. Hoshea, Yeshayahu, Amos, and Michah were prophets.

They said in Chelek that in his days there was no man or woman who was not expert in the laws of impurity and purity. Chizkiyahu hid the Book of Remedies [(see year 1937 for which book)]. Chizkiyahu is Amram who divorced his wife because of the decree "every son that is born [shall be cast into the river]"; so did all the members of his generation, and through Miriam they took them back, and each man went and took his wife back, the daughter of Levi.

Similarly, Chizkiyahu the son is from his spark; he said to Yeshayahu: I received from the House of my father's father that even if a sharp sword is on a person's neck, he should not hold back from prayer (Bereishit)].
