Amram, according to our Sages, died before year 2392 [see year 2255]. So Moshe was about twenty-four years old at the death of his father [see year 2262]. And Moshe was in the camp of Kikiyanos for nine years, all the days that they laid siege to the city. And the king and the princes and all the men of war loved him, for he was great and precious, and his stature was like a mighty lion, and his face was like the sun, and the strength of his might was like a strong lion.
And he became a counselor to the king. And it came to pass after nine years that the king Kikiyanos died, and they made Moshe king over them. And they swore to him to give him the queen, the wife of King Kikiyanos, as a wife, etc. And Moshe captured the city with his wisdom, etc. [see Midrash there].
And Bilam and his sons and Shimona his brother fled to Pharaoh king of Egypt [Sefer HaYashar].
