The Geradim witnesses [(Perek Aleph, Mishnah Gimel)] who came from the Gate of the Ashpoth and testified regarding three log of drawn water that they invalidate the mikvah in the name of Shmaiya and Avtalyon, and the Sages accepted their words more than those of Shammai and Hillel.
