Rabbi Abba the Kohen said to Rabbi Yosi the Kohen, "I am perplexed if Rabbi Yochanan received the response from Rabbi Levi" [(Rosh HaShanah 15b)]. In the name of Rabbi Yosi the Kohen, there was an incident where the sons of Rabbi Yosi, the son of Rabbi Chanina, died [(and he washed in cold water all seven, Ta'anit 13a)] and this occurred during the time of Rabbi Yochanan [(and perhaps Rabbi Chiya and Rav Shimon, his sons)].
