Entry 348 • Seder Tannaim v'Amoraim

Rab Acha taught a baraita with Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai. [It was taught in the name of Rabbi Shimon ben Gamliel in the Jerusalem Talmud, chapter "The One Who Sees." And perhaps this is the one mentioned in the Midrash HaNe'elam, Zohar, Vayera, section 263, who annulled something in his prayer in the village of Tarsha and changed the name of the city, calling it Mata Machsya.

And in chapter "Va'etchanan," he was with Rabbi Eliezer, son of Rabbi Shimon, and in the Jerusalem Talmud, in the chapter "Even though the sages ruled that Marta should give two sa'ah of wine every day," they cursed her, saying, "Thus shall you give to your daughters." Rabbi Acha said, and we responded after him, "Amen." Rabbi Elazar, son of Rabbi Tzadok, said, "I will see in comfort if I have not seen her gathering barley between the hooves of horses," and concerning Miriam, daughter of Shimon ben Gurion, who was ruled against, etc., and they cursed her, etc. Rabbi Acha said, and we responded, "Amen." Rabbi Elazar, son of Rabbi Tzadok, said, "I will see," etc.

Rab Acha sought to see Rabbi Alexandri in a dream (see Papus).]
