Rabbi Avin saw Rabbi Huna pass by and noticed that he was careful with the candle. He said, "Two prominent men are coming from here," and they were Rabbi Idi and Rabbi Chiya, [Shabbat (23b)]. Because the man and his wife were careful, therefore two came out [(and so the Tosafot)] or they were careful with the lights, namely the Shabbat candle and the Chanukah candle. And it is as it is stated there: Rabbi Chisda was accustomed to pass by the entrance of the house of Rabbi Shizbi, and he saw that he was accustomed to many lights.
He said, "A great man is coming out from here," referring to Rabbi Shizbi, etc., and he did not say "accustomed to lights." [And in the tractate of Shmuel, chapter 27, Rabbi Bon bar Nagra (as mentioned above, Ivo bar Nagra)].
