**Rabbi Zerachiah HaLevi** [(see year 4830)] composed the book HaMaor in Luniel in the year 4910 and responded to Rav Alfasi. [(And he was very young when he composed the critiques. Seder HaKabbalah chapter 32b) (and more investigation is needed. See year 4970.)] Rabbi Ephraim [(the Elder)] student of the Alfasi who responded to Rabbi Zerachiah at this time. [(Yuchsin in the later generations.)] In the year 4910 there were earthquakes, thunder and lightning, storms, hail and fire, and heavy rain, and from this came famine and plague in Ashkenaz [(Tzeda LaDerech chapter 72)].
