Rav Shmuel Gaon bar Mari was head of Pumbedita in year 4507 [(Tzemach David), and in Shada"k page 36b it says Rav Shmuel from the seed of Ameimar died in year 4508, 69 years, and his intention is about Resh Dey bar Mari, as he mentioned two lines before this: Rav Shmuel from among the sons of Ameimar died in year 4510 (see above year 4496).

Thus Resh Dey from the seed of Ameimar died in year 4508, and Resh Dey bar Mari possibly died in year 4510 because he ruled in year 4507].

Rav Acha Meshavcha was a great sage who composed responsa but was not ordained as a Gaon because of the Exilarch of his generation who hated him, and when Rav Shmuel bar Mari died, the Exilarch ordained the attendant of Rav Acha [(and his brother corrected him. See above year 3521)]. His name was Mar Rav Netura'i, and Rav Acha was angry and went from Babylonia to the Land of Israel and died there. Rav Netura'i was head of the yeshiva according to the Ra'avah for 12 years. [(Shada"k page 36b wrote he died in year 4520).

And in Rash"b Yuchsin he is mentioned as Shanatri'i Kadhana, son of Rav Mar Amuna from Baghdad.] Rav Avraham Gaon became head after Rav Netura'i. According to the calculation of Rash"b, all their years of Rav Shmuel and Rav Netura'i and Rav Avraham were 12 years until year 4520 [(Tzemach David), see above year 4545].
