Rava died in the year 4111 [(see above year 4099)] and Rav Ashi was born [so it says in Yuchsin in the name of Rashbag, he died in 662 (i.e., according to the Seleucid era, which is the year 4111). And in Yuchsin in the order of Amoraim, generation 5, on the day his master died, 5 sons of Rav Pappa, and in the days of Abaye and Rava there was Hillel the Nasi (grandson of Rabbi Yehuda Nesia, see above year 4128).

Yuchsin wrote in the letter of Rashbag:] After this, the [Land of] Israel became desolate and teaching diminished, and the settling of Eretz Yisrael was from then always from Babylonia, such as Rabin and Rav Dimi and all of them, they descended to here.
