Rabbah bar Nachmani died in the year 4082 [(see above year 4060)].

Rav Yosef sat on the chair of Rabbah bar Nachmani, his colleague, in Sura in the year 4082, and he reigned for two and a half years. He was blind from old age and died at age 85 [(Tzemach David, and so it says in Yuchsin in the order of Kabbalah that the Rama copied)]. And Rashbag wrote in Yuchsin that he died in the year 634 (i.e., according to the Seleucid era), which is the year 4082.
