**Rabban Shimon** the Second [(also called "the Rav")] son of Rabban Gamliel the Elder was Nasi of Yisrael in year 3810, 18 years before the destruction, as written in Yuchsin page 55. He was the tenth receiver among the scholars of the Mishnah and received 35 traditions, according to Abarbanel [(and according to Yuchsin he received 32)], and he was a colleague of Rabbi Yochanan ben Zakkai [(Tzeda)].
