**Yechezkel** prophesied over Mitzrayim (Egypt) in the year 3337 [(Yechezkel 29)], and then the word of HaShem came to Yirmiyahu in the 12th year of Tzidkiyahu [(Yirmiyahu 32)] [(Tzeda)]. And Nevuchadnetzar captured Shlomoh ben Shalman, and he became the chief baker. In the second year of the siege, Nevuchadnetzar departed from Yerushalayim to wage war against Pharaoh Chofra, king of Mitzrayim, and the siege on Yerushalayim was lifted for a time until Nevuchadnetzar returned and besieged it again as before [(Ra'avad Ma'aseh HaShem)].

Yochanan Geshem the Arab in the year 3337 was a king among the Arabs in the days of Yirmiyahu [(Ra'a Ketuvot)]. And it says in Ma'aseh HaShem, verse 5, that Arad and the events that occurred around it, in the days of Yirmiyahu, were due to the Arabs plundering and taking captives from the children of Yehudah. And in Yerushalmi Sanhedrin it says that those who dwelt in the Negev engaged in banditry and raided the inheritance of the children of Shimon, and the children of Yehudah conquered them in place of the children of Shimon, and it is proven in Yerushalmi that Arad was from the inheritance of Shimon, and they came and dwelt in it [(Sha'ar HaDorot section 70)].

It appears from this that the children of Yehudah fought against the children of Arad and conquered them, not in the days of Yehoshua which is in the year 2488, but rather many years after in the days of Yirmiyahu [(Sha'ar HaDorot there 70:2)].
