**Yeshayahu** son of Amotz [(and in Sha'ar HaDorot 69:2 it says son of Amos)]. Amotz was also a prophet, as it says in Megillah (15b): Whenever his name and his father's name are mentioned as prophets, it is known that he is a prophet son of a prophet. Amotz was the brother of King Amatzyahu (Megillah 10b). He received from Amos on the day of the earthquake and prophesied in the days of Uziyahu, Yotam, Achaz, and Chizkiyahu.

He was the 8th receiver of the prophets and the 22nd of the concluding ones [according to Abarbanel and according to Yuchsin in Seder HaDorot the 14th receiver]. He lived after Achaz for 60 years, for Menasheh reigned 228 and he killed him [(Tzeda). In Yeshayahu chapter 6 "and there is yet a tenth," the Shorashim and Mikhlal write that this prophecy was said in the days of Uziyahu, and from him until the exile there were still ten kings].

Yeshayahu is buried in the village of Bra'am and upon it is a terebinth tree, and near it is a spring of living water [(Gedolei Yisrael)].

**Pul** Balchu, the 30th king of Bavel, reigned 20 years. This is Pul king of Ashur who conquered Menachem king of Yisrael [(Melachim II 15)]. Even though all of them were called kings of Ashur alone until 51, this is because the location of their seat was in Nineveh in the province of Ashur [(Tzeda part 2)].
