[And this requires investigation, for the plain meaning of the Scripture in Melachim 1 17:18 says "And Eliyahu went to appear to Achav and the famine was in Shomron"—how is it possible to say he departed in the year 2990?] For ten years from the beginning of Asa's reign the land was quiet from war until the year 2992, and from then onward there was war with Ba'asha [(Tzemach David)].
