David was born in Year 2854 and lived seventy years. His mother's name was Nitzevet bat Adael [(Bava Batra 91a, 2). In Seder Hadoros (12, 2) in Midrash Vayakhel it appears that David HaMelech descended from the seed of Betzalel ben Uri ben Chur of the tribe of Yehuda, and perhaps it can be said from the female side].
